Inspired by the vision of Mahatma Gandhi and founded by the visionary Shankarkumar Leharuram Choudhary, KARTVA is committed to uplifting poor and needy families through valuable contributions to the country's rural areas. We promote sustainable practices like organic farming, tree-based systems, floriculture, and watershed management, alongside introducing high-value crops such as strawberry cultivation and new fodder varieties to ensure increased yields and long-term community prosperity.

While implementing various development initiatives, the organization ensures a balanced and sustainable approach that maintains both environmental and social health. The organization is committed to continuously and positively working to bring all underprivileged and development-deprived sections of society into the mainstream. All initiatives are conducted in a non-political, caste-free, religion-neutral, and unbiased manner, focusing solely on public welfare and social work.

What We Do?

Empowering Rural & Poor Communities with Sustainable Livelihood Models

Agriculture development

Promoting sustainable farming, diverse crops, and conservation via advanced techniques with tree-based, agro-horti-forestry, and group farming farming models and supporting wild crop conservation.

Water Resource and watershed management

The initiative promotes community resource management via technical visits, awareness, and demonstrations, focusing on conservation, plantation, and water development.

Women’s empowerment

he program focuses on empowering women through the formation of Self Help Groups (SHGs), income generation programs, and capacity building, alongside initiatives like drudgery reduction and village cleaning.

Live Stock development

Enhancing livestock and dairy via goat/poultry extension, improved fodder management, technical demonstrations (nutrition/storage), and AI awareness programs.

Community Health development

Genetarte awarness about Health, hygiene, and safe water via kitchen gardens and health check-ups with Mother and child care program.

Education Development

Digital school programs, student exposure at various levels, SSC Students lectures, demonstrations, workshops, camps, and competitions with campus tree planting.

Program for Landless

Providing technical guidance and small business management advice, arranging exposure and linkages with developing agencies, and guiding traditional skill holders through events.

Research and Extension

Promote effective agriculture and natural resource use in drought areas, conserving forests, wild vegetation, valuable crop varieties, and local animal breeds.

Records and Documentation

Manage fruit crops and kitchen garden through nursery, vermicompost production, and cultivation of Pomegranate, Strawberry, Rose, Aster, Shevanti, and Onion, plus Karvey for conservation.
